Mainly concentrating on the procedures required in event venues, we explore how increasing protection can reduce the likelihood and impact of intentional acts of criminality. With an emphasis on acts of terrorism, references will also be made to other forms of criminality and these principles transfers to other crowded environments.

The course is aimed at intermediate level delegates who possess a basic understanding of event venue operations, but wish to increase their knowledge of attack methodologies and the management of all associated risks.
The course will be suited to anyone responsible for venue management, crowd management or the regulation or inspection of event venues. This could include: Event Managers, Safety Officers, Safety Advisory Group Members, Local Authority Licensing Officers, Event Promoters, Emergency Services Managers and Security Managers.
