2015 Nepal Earthquake
A 7.8 magnitude earthquake hit the mountainous country, Nepal. There were a multitude of aftershocks and other hazards triggered by the initial earthquake including avalanches that killed 272 people, including 22 at Mount Everest. Damage was widespread, with near 9,000 dead, near 22,000 injured and 3.5 million people made homeless.
