Jaipur Oil Depot Fire
The Jaipur oil depot fire broke out at the Indian Oil Corporation oil depot's holding 8,000 kilolitres of oil, on the outskirts of Jaipur, killing 12 people and injuring over 200. The blaze continued to rage out of control for over a week, during which, half a million people were evacuated from the area.
